Farmer/Agripreneur

Brittany always dreamed of living out in the country. Growing up in the Garden State, New Jersey, she has fond memories of picking tomatoes from the garden and fields of sweet corn blowing in the wind. Moving to Hawaii, she took her passion for country living, entrepreneurial spirit, and love of good food to create the first direct-to-consumer local produce distribution service on the island in 2011.
Sourcing only the best local produce for her clients, she found it difficult to find high-quality, local, ethically raised meats with great flavor. So, Bodhi and Brittany did what anyone else would do… they purchased land and became farmers.

Brittany and her husband founded Sugar Hill Farmstead in 2017 as a homestead based meat CSA located in Honomu on the Big Island of Hawaii. Brittany has developed an affinity for butchery, and enjoys hand cutting steaks and hand crafting sausages for her customers.
