homeschooling mother & organic farmer

I am certified veterinary technician turned organic farmer and homeschooling mother. I am a sixth generation Vermonter, and through my genealogy hobby I have learned that many of my ancestors were farmers. My husband, children, and I reside on land my husband's grandfather farmed when he moved here from Canada. In addition to raising Alpine dairy goats, we also raise pastured poultry (Muscovy ducks, Cornish chickens, and turkey) and pork here on our Vermont farm. Our motto is, "Know your farmer. Know your food." I am passionate about holistic and humane husbandry. My other interests include: baking, gardening, food preservation, preparedness, reading and writing.
